WHAT A TYPICAL SERVICE AT ROCK POINT KIDS LOOKS LIKE
Welcome
Each child is greeted by their classroom leader. Children participate with their small group in an activity meant to introduce the day’s Bible story.
Large Group Environment
Shortly after arriving, the children transition to their large group environment where they hear the Bible story and engage in expressive worship. Kids are invited to sing and dance and tell God how much they love Him.
Small Group Environment
After participating in worship, the children transition back to their classroom where their leaders help them understand the Bible story. The service is concluded with a snack and group activity or craft.
If We Need to Contact You During Service
If our ministry workers need to contact you during the worship service, your child’s assigned number will appear on the main screen.
CRY POLICY
Our team will do everything possible to ease your child’s fears. However, if a child cries for 15 minutes without showing signs of becoming more comfortable, we will page you. We want this to be a pleasurable experience for your child and the other children in our classrooms.
Our Leaders

Bio
Steve is an Arizona native married to a California girl. He and his wife, Amy, have been married since 2007, and have two daughters, Elona and Maisey. He loves to travel and has been to 11 different countries. He’s a big time Suns fan, loves coffee, dogs, and playing games.
If you could have any super power what would it be? Why?
If I had a super power, it would be to jump, dunk, and shoot in basketball as if I was in NBA Jam. It would help in pickup hoops games, and in throwing things in garbage cans.
If you walk into a coffee shop what do you usually order?
I love going to new coffee shops… well, old coffee shops are great too. I love coffee shops! My typical order is a black cold brew, or an americano if I want a hot drink.

Bio
Tammy and her wonderful husband, Justin, are raising 3 daughters in the town of their childhood: Queen Creek. They love and serve the Lord, are die hard Steeler fans, and enjoy riding dirt-bikes/quads.
If you could have any super power what would it be? Why?
I would choose “telekinesis” – a power with infinite possibilities: I could move objects with my mind, I could levitate myself and fly wherever I desire….
If you walk into a coffee shop what do you usually order?
I typically order a hot, white chocolate mocha with light whipped cream.

Bio
Michelle and her family moved to Gilbert-Queen Creek area in the spring of 2014 from Phoenix/Ahwatukee. She loves cooking and baking, spending time with friends and family, playing board games and watching movies. Michelle and her family accepted Christ for the first time at Rock Point Church and just LOVE it here.
If you could have any super power what would it be? Why?
If I had to choose one super power (other than flying and teleportation) it would probably be superhuman endurance. The ability to not get tired after a long day of working and being a parenting adult would be awesome! I would get so much more done!
If you walk into a coffee shop what do you usually order?
I love and need coffee. My two daily necessities of life would be Jesus and coffee. So, I’d order the biggest iced latte with an extra shot (depending how tired I am) and a touch of sweetener.

Bio
Haley and her husband, Jimmy, have been married for almost 12 years now. They have a son, Joshua, who is 6½ and a daughter, Lily, who is 3½. Haley and her family have lived here in Arizona for 6 years and call this their home.
If you could have any super power what would it be? Why?
If I could have any super power it would be Omnilingualism – the ability to speak and understand any language. I like this because I could help anyone anywhere.
If you walk into a coffee shop what do you usually order?
Whenever I go into a coffee shop I usually order a Caramel coffee of some kind.

Bio
Melissa has been a member of Rock Point Church for 11 years and has served in the children’s ministry for ten. During the week she works at a faith-based preschool where she teaches the threes through Pre-K. She is currently a student at Grand Canyon University and is studying elementary education and special education.
If you could have any super power what would it be? Why?
I would have the ability to time travel…in a blue police box. I’d travel back in time to ask my ancestors all the questions that no one thought to ask.
If you walk into a coffee shop what do you usually order?
If I walked into a coffee shop I would order a tea. Although I love the smell of coffee I cannot stand the taste.

Bio
Christie is a Speech-Language Pathologist specializing in developmental delays and disorders. She is the author of the Chirp Curriculum and founder of the Chirp YouTube channel. Christie and her husband Greg live happily in Chandler with a bunch of cats.
If you could have any super power what would it be? Why?
Teleportation! I love to see new things and learn about other cultures, but the TRAVEL part of travel is smelly and inconvenient!
If you walk into a coffee shop what do you usually order?
I don’t drink interesting beverages. If they have a bubbly citrus thing, probably that. Otherwise, water with lemon.

Partnering with Parents
Our Kids ministry serves as an entry point for you to embark on a partnership with the church with the aim of seeing your child grow in vibrant faith in the years to come. We want to equip you with the tools you need to be the primary faith influencer in your family. As a parent, you will ultimately have a far greater influence on your children than any church leader and so our primary role is to empower and encourage you.
Understanding Parent | Child Dedication
As believers, we are called to recognize that children belong first and foremost to God. God, in his goodness, gives children as gifts to parents. As parents, we have the awesome responsibility and wonderful privilege of caring for and enjoying the gift. This is noted in Psalm 127:3 where it states that, “Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from him.”
Because children belong to God and are given by grace as gifts to parents, it is only proper and appropriate that children be dedicated back to God.
The Parent | Child Dedication Ceremony is a public commitment you make before God, your church, and your family. The dedication service provides you an opportunity to express publicly your desire raise your child to love God and to Know Jesus Personally.
During the ceremony, you’ll be presenting your child before God and ask for His blessing, wisdom and grace in carrying out this incredible responsibility.
