House of Refuge is need of volunteers to help in their Donation Center every first Friday of the month from 10:00am to 12:00pm.

The duties will include managing the Donation Center by sorting and organizing items that they have received. Many of the residents arrive with little or no personal belongings.

With the generous support of our local community, program participants can begin to rebuild their lives and homes upon move-in. Throughout their stay, families can obtain essential items from the Donation Center at no cost. All items that participants acquire are theirs to take when they leave the program.

House of Refuge is a faith-based non-profit organization helping homeless families and individuals in crisis by providing transitional housing and supportive services that assist participants as they strive towards self-sufficiency and seek to obtain permanent housing. On any given day, approximately 100 adults and 150 children call House of Refuge “home”. Many come from a history of domestic violence and children often become the innocent victims.
